Perpetual backorder charger at HobbyKing?

HobbyKing ECO8 150W 7A 8S Bal/Dis/Cyc Charger w/ acc. (USA Warehouse)

I have been wanting to buy this charger for over a month now. It used to have the backorder status, now it has a NEGATIVE stock status. Is this normal practice at HK to advertise products they don't have, or is this a special case?

Happens all the time.

If you are doing serial-parallel charging ( dogman style ), the eco6 will work too, and an iCharger would be best.

I did not say any thing bad about LiPo, I said it was too dangerous for me. And no, I'm not using LiPo. I am using 18650 Li-Ion cells. And I'm still playing with NiCd and NiMh. Lead acid is the only thing I avoid, and NOT because it's dangerous (only people like LFP think it's dangerous) but because its unacceptably low energy density.

There is no clear winner. Each has advantages and disadvantages.

Sure.. but by using hobby chargers, you are taking all the downfalls of lipo to charge those batteries the lipo way and getting none of the upsides of lipo, IE high discharge rate and low weight/space.
