Hi, I am new to this forum. I have an Ampedbikes Kit with an SLA battery. I had it for 3 months and I would get over 7 miles before the motor starts slowing down. So I finally decided to purchase a lifepo4 battery. By reading many suggestions on this forum I decided to purchase a lifepo4 48 volt 15ah battery from Li Ping. This is my first time ordering anything overseas. So the process of ordering and communication from Li Ping went smoothly. The battery is completed and has been shipped from Shanghai to Hong Kong. Now the anxious part...waiting for it to arrive to the United States. I would like to know from ones who ordered from Pingbattery-- how long does it take to receive the battery. I am anxious and can't wait until I install it on the cruiser bike! :)

Ping has a great diagram on his web site for battery installation. Plus buy the connectors you will need. Fully charge it and let balance go easy at first. Don't test range. Ping is a great man.

If all goes well, ten days usually is it. But it's a few anxious days, since it seems to vanish from tracking while in USA customs, so the last you hear was it passed through a scanner in china. Then wonderfull USP tracking takes over. Generally will tell you tomorrow, that your battery arrived today. Try to be home for the mailman so you can sign for it.

Took 7 days from Shanghi to Florida

It took one week to my country (two more weeks to build it),and a month held at customs. His batteries are very good and he his a great person. You will enjoy your battery.

Yep, shipping is not an exact science.
I had items shipped from Hong Kong to Montreal in a week, and others that took more than 3 weeks from US.
The most important is that everything I have ordered yet, always arrived. That is a good score IMO.

I'm in Philadelphia and bought the exact same battery you are getting earlier this year. It took about three weeks to get here. It now has a little over 1200 miles on it and works great! Still hitting 30 mph and getting over 20 miles out of it at full throttle.

Hi
One month held at customs??
Im in Vigo and waiting for my ping to arrive...
why it took so long?? And how much did you have to
pay in custom taxes?

It arrived from Hong Kong to ISC New York, NY (USPS) this morning. It's in customs right now. Hopefully not for long.

Someone at my local post office did say that a package could be held at customs for 30 days.

Ping used Express Mail International (USPS) for my package. I did notice he uses UPS as well.

That is true. I had a package from California arrive yesterday afternoon. When I checked the tracking number in the morning, it was still listed as processed at USPS Origin Sort Facility Petaluma, CA.

Good to hear it made it ok. Once in a blue moon, some customs man gets a whim to hold a package for a month.

When I ordered a 48volt 20amp here in the uk the service was pretty fast, around 7days :)

Sent using Endless-Sphere Mobile app

I received the battery today! I connected the wires and have it on the charger now. How long does it take to charge the battery?

Till the charger stop and all the led lights light up. Check the voltage. Oh at that time the bms will bleed off the high charged cell and they will all start blinking so they will all be at 3.65v or close. This let's you know it's balance. Light cycle's at first ( go easy on it ) to get all the cells marching togethere. No need to find the dod or the bottom of you battery, don't draw more them 22amps. The worst thing is to ask the battery for more amps them it likes to give. It will give more amps then it can live with if asked. Don't test your battery and it will live a long haay life. What's your setup ? Isee you have amedbike kit this battery is a perfect fit and i think that controller only pulls 22a. or less. I loved my PIng. Get a good lock and keep an eye on it. Good luck.

Should fill up pretty fast. I recomend at least 5-6 shallow discharges and full recharges before you really start using the battery. It helps get the thing initially balanced. A lazy cell sometimes needs a few cycles to perk up when the pack is brand new.

So charge, ride around the block, charge, etc. You'll know when it's ready to go, when all the led's light up closer to the same time.

Also keep in mind that the BMS draws power from only part of the battery. If I let my battery sit for a week or two without being used the third light in from the end won't light when it is charged. I have to leave it on the charger for 6-8 hours to get it back up to voltage and get the light to light.

Everything went well. All of the 16 BMS lights lit up. I went for a ride this evening (it was dark outside). This bike really flies! The only slight problem I had to watch out for is potholes on some roads. Everything stayed intact though. I have a Planet Bike Hard Plastic Case. The bungie net inside the case does a great job in holding the lifepo4 battery in place.
