I have a Polaris E-Bike that I need some help to get running. I checked the Battery and it seems healthy. This bike had all kinds of crazy features like gear speed technology, Back Pedal Regen, Active Trail Mode. This was cool sounding but unfortunately was very misleading considering the bikes actual abilities. Of course the company went out of business and a third party picked up the remaining parts inventory. I asked them to send me a wiring schematic for the bike which they do not have. I want to get this bike running again and skip all this fancy termed technology and just end up with a Pedelec Bike. It has two very fancy control boards in the battery housing. I can't tell what they are for or how to modify without a wiring schematic. Can I just rip them and get a off the shelf BMS to make this motor run. Can anyone give me some advice.

Since we don't know what you have there, either, you should post pictures of what you have, so we can give you some idea of what various parts are, and what you might be able to do.

If things are not working as you like, and you need to replace parts with new ones that *do* do what you want, you will have to trace out where wires go yourself to find out what connects to what, so that you can then change things to suit the way you prefer. You'll probably have to change connectors, figure out wiring, etc., for anything you change out--it's unlikely that anything you buy to change functionality on there will just hook right up.

Alternately, if you don't want to trace things out and do all the rest of the work, you could strip everything of the existing electrics off, and replace it in it's entirety with a kit from one of the (few) vendors that sells complete plug-and-play kits that you don't have to figure out how to connect, or change any connectors on, rewire, etc.
