HELLO everyone,

Here is a diy 24s battery pack, made for electric bike !!!

It's specially design to be mount on enduro ebike frame and use 3.7v 40ah lithium polymer li-ion cells, the conception

Eh, if it's for an ebike, being in an ebike section seems OK, esp when we see some pics of what is going into... Which sound like it will be a lot of fun at 24s!
My big question would be is there going to be enough compression on the faces of the cells to reduce puffing? The box itself doesn't look strong enough unless plates are going to be added to the exterior. Having just struggled with removing a large pack that had puffed itself into an immovable block inside the frame, I have more respect for the forces required to keep those things squashed...

I believe it only needs a few pounds of compression plates are mainly to limit that there is not that great of expansion is not happening. As opposed to having them under great pressure.

They might not need much initial compression... but after seeing the buckled metal cases of the pack I was just dealing with, they need to be able to resist many pounds of expansive force that will come later.

the aluminium box was design previously to be air cooled, to prevent of shock damage from the frame of the bike and to keep cells in good conditions , after it is easier to manutention the pack
i pass the week end to finish the pack by adding plexi on top and more scotch isolation

the pack is already on the bike but it wasn't a pleasure time cause of his strong dimension for the frame of the ebike, but it's still working ( so much well )

i had to cut the BMS box to pass the all package in the frame, made inox plate for anode and cathode and did all wires connections

i already output 98.6v in 10awg, 12v and 24v in 20awg, for light and switch, will open a post for the bike

connecting plate are in galva... rubbured , inox riveted and the anode and cathode are in aluminium riveted, 10awg wires are locked on by 2mm inox plate screwed screw

And?:) Was there an explosion or what? No more updates:) How is the battery pack? Are these pouch cells good in real life?
