Pre-Cut Nickel Strip Layout in a Triangle-shaped Battery

I recently bought a triangle frame battery box from Amazon for an upcoming e-bike of mine. Along with the battery box, the package included two cell spacers and fifteen pre-cut nickel strips. The final pack should be 14s 8p. Placing the nickel strips to cover all the spaces is quite the conundrum. Does anyone know how to correctly lay out the nickel strips? I've gotten pretty close on my own but it doesn't quite fit. My closest guess is in the picture below. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Rather than trying to lay them all out on the left side and the right side both at the same time, I'd try to lay them all out on the left side only, just in two layers first.

You always know the start and the end, because those are 8 cells instead of 16 cells big. And you always know which piece to do next because it needs to overlap the previous by 8 cells and expand to 8 new ones.

So it feels like you can put down an 8 spot piece in layer 1, then find a 16 spot piece that fully overlaps those 8 and adds 8 previously unused spots and put that on top in layer 2. Then slide a piece under that one that matches the 8 unused for that one and adds another 8 spots for layer 1. Then put a piece on top that fully overlaps 8 of the previous and adds 8 unused for layer 2. Repeat.

Once you have two layers over on the left you can use a black or silver metallic permanent marker to number the ones in the second layer and move them over. Or just transfer layer 2 one piece at a time over to the right matching the mirrored position.
 
I just took a quick close-up glance, and it seems to me that the picture has the metal patterns correct. Why do you think it doesn't "quite fit", as you may be seeing something I missed? Is that not your picture?
 
His last blank spot in the case is 4 rows, with 4 cells, 4 cells, 5 cells, and 3 cells. His last metal piece, if turned to also be 4 rows, can only start with a row of 2 or 5. So it doesn't fit. The 5 has to be in row 2 or 3 to fit the blank spot left.

So must be something else wrong somewhere else.

Good eyes! Yes, the last metal piece is wrong, I just looked at the holes and the left side metal.

What do you do? Send it all back and hope the next one is good?

See if they offer a decent credit in lieu of a return. If the rest of the pieces are correct, one could cut the nad piece into strips and make it work with some spare pieces of nickel,
