Hello,

New here and I want to thank everyone for all the helpful information.
I have a Priority Current E-bike and I want to add an additional battery. Priority offers an extender battery that is mounted in a rack, which I would buy, but the problem is that the make up of the rack makes it very difficult to mount My Ortlieb panniers. The purpose for the additional battery is that i want to do some long distance touring and have the extra battery volume.
The issue I have come across is trying to identify the connector that goes into the motor coming from the battery. It is branded a Higo cable, but after looking at their catalogs online, I cant find one that matches the connector power port. I am hoping someone else may have had this same issue and can or is able to identify the type or number of the connector. please see the attached picture of the connector.DSC_1801.1.JPG

Can you clarify whether you are contemplating purchasing the extender battery, then looking for an extension cable in order to mount the battery elsewhere, or are you looking at using an aftermarket battery that you can connect via the extender cable/connector?
Note that the battery cable is not going to the motor, but into the motor housing where the controller is located. The additional battery pins (the 3 in addition to the actual battery conductors) indicate that the system could be proprietary and therefore the additional pins are used to communicate data between the battery and controller. If this is the case, you may not be able to use an aftermarket battery without somehow fooling the controller that it's one from Priority Current.

Thank you for the response and I believe your assessment is accurate. That the connector is proprietor and I too, have the same concern that you suggested. That an aftermarket battery wouldn't work. I had hoped to use a dual battery balancer to connect the OEM battery and an aftermarket battery. But have now given up on that thought.
I have decided to go ahead and purchase the extender battery and rack. It comes with a dual battery balancer built in and a wiring harness with the correct and proprietary connectors. It is actually a very simple and clean add. I will need to make some alterations to the rack to accept my Ortlieb panniers and I believe I have sorted out a relatively uncomplicated fix to do just that.

That will probably save you a lot of headaches. Good luck, and hope you get the extra range your looking for.
Have fun and be safe!
