Ok, so you got a bunch of batteries in series, not sure if that answer would change with chemistry, but do you have to disconnect to properly charge the batteries? Like if i have 12S Set up, and my charger only does 8S, can I Just connect the the first 8, charge, then connect to the last 4 and charge, without a switch to separate them? If not why not?

With one charger, no problem. With multiple chargers, the chargers have to be electically isolated from each other. Or they would need to be disconnected to run completely seperately.
