Heavy Metal

I too am a fan.
I've seen a few different brands of bmx rear wheels with the left-handed threads on the non-drive side. The only bmx bike I know for sure that still uses that type of hub is Specialized. You might want to see if a local shop can order a rear wheel from specialized, its a basic wheel and shouldn't cost too much.
The 125t sprocket is large but it should be possible to use. I drilled some holes with a drill press in an 80t sprocket and it made it much lighter. just get the right diameter bi-metal hole saw and drill away. I made a pattern in gimp, printed it, then cut it out and laid it over the sprocket and hit the right spots with a punch to get the holes lined up.

edit: no, I never had a chain break or make much noise, but I didn't have much torque or speed.
