...That QS 273 motor looks like a beast.
A heavy beast I recall.
If I would be building that heavy, I would expect much better performance. I mean, why to use a 50 Lbs motor and a 36 fet controller to do short of what is up with a cromotor and an 18 fet.

Sorry, I should not criticise what I have not seen anyway. Let's wait and see the big commuter.

Welcome to ES Tino
Please post a pic

Shortly I want exceed the limit 110mil/h.According to calculations it is possible.

Welcome to the forum Tino,

That's impressive to see a such huge motor on a bike frame.

If we can put 16kW in a 30 pounds hub motor i guess you can put alot more in a 50 pounds one.

what are parameters ( stator width, kv, phase wire size?)

To help you finding your goal, even with a "normal" 5403 hub moytor size, to get high speed you need torque to be sustained for a very wide range of speed witch mean a motor with a very high kv like 12 or even 15, or a controller that have field weakening and a motor with minimum kv of 9 and minimum voltage of 90V on a 26" wheel.

For exemple my 5403 reach 116km/h but the max power of 16kW is not at 116km/h but at about 80kmh while accelerating. at 116kmh i had 11kW draw.
If i would go higher speed getting a more powerfull motor would change nothing since what limit speed is not power but the torque witch mean sustained current at high speed. and to get torque at high speed you need the right kv ad wheel size and battery voltage.

With a single motor I expect to get about 120-125kmh with my 12kv MXUS(45H 3T) that is rated 3000W. and it will draw about 14-15kW for that.

115 Kmh is very fast on that bike, unless the streets are smooth like the Grand Hotel alley.

I know that is too heavy. But heated only 50C at 115km/h for 13km.The battery
is heat up.9,6KW continuous. This is for e scooter.
Hi Doctorbass.Thank you for information.I understand.Controller is 50 000 erpm and more.Special requirement.Motor is high performance requirement.1600/min.Voltage
is 126V fully charged 30cell.Wheel 29".I use 50% setting to controller.I ride normaly
to work 115km/h. Good road. I used only once Factory setting, abnormal thourg moment.I does not start ,front wheel flips.Motor cabling 16mm and 15T structure.
Ok.Make video from rides is best.I do not have a camera.I´ll get anything.

Very impressive speed! What controller are you using and what max power do you see on your CA?

I must point out that your rear wheel spoke pattern is incorrect, if you are serious about going faster I would rebuild this with correct spoke angles and pairing for safeties sake.

Hi,Obhse.Thank you. I do change the spoke.Controller is big.For e scooter.36FET 250A .Peak 600A.

Finally some real competition. It will take some balls to get on that bike with those tires and hold the throttle at WOT for 20 seconds or more.

29er isn't it too big wheel for motor of that speed? For best efficiency it should be 20" isn't it?

He is using bicycle wheels to record the moment the hub destroys it... :)
Probably already have a pair of 17" 1.85/2.15 motorcycle rims ready for the real action.

hello everyone.Thank you for promotion.Waiting for good weather.Rains.
I have a great feeling from 29" wheel. If i driving in traffic,i see to the cab.
Only now I set 100%.I drove only 50%seting.I use bluetooth from android.
I will show you test with cruse control.(tempomat).Gensem thanks for video.

Make sure that your torque curve is following the required torque you need at every speed you want to cover. Very fast no load top speed mean nothing for max top speed on the road of you dont have the torque to keep all the speed range to cover.

-At any desired speed, Torque must be > required torque to fight the Wind and all related frictions
-At any desired speed motor speed must be > desired speed
- can be translated as :
At any desired speed, power must be > required power to fight the Wind and all friction for every speed

- usually max power occur at half max no load speed of the motorunles syou have field weakening option.

That thing had an 'extra gear' after 160km/h unloaded that I was not expecting. 125mph unloaded is ridiculously fast. You must have a well balanced wheel for it to run that smoothly

I saw 250kmh wich is 155mph unloaded speed... and yeah, the wheel is very balanced.

Thats absolutely crazy, but I love it.
I dont think I'd ever want to go that fast on a bicycle.
But its cool non the less.

So which is the better motor, the QS or the MXUS?

Hi markz.I dont now make reklam for this motor. To havy. But if you accelerate,
do not feel weight, nothing .Is strong.I got of it 24kw. 120V.200A.I wanted only
this motor. Is not heated.Idid not want to drilled holes into cover.I called with
CR ZAGREB for CROMOTOR.It was the same price for me.Normally i go to work
115km/h without reheating.I have blocked speed limit controller. What did you
see is finally without limitation the controller.Today 17.oct.no rain!!!!!Best REGARDS.
