QS205 and Sabvoton 7210 power is only so so

I know it's sort of a weird topic, but my QS205 and Sabvoton 72100 doesn't feel very powerful. It takes off and gets to almost 60Mph, but in no way does it feel like it wants to wheelie or get aggressive starts. I guess what I am asking is what should QS205 feel like and should it wheelie a enduro clone frame. Also it's kind of hard to do but the max wattage that I can see on my UKC1 display is just under 1kW (something like 980 watts) but not sure if that's a trustworthy source either.

Are you using a max. 100A controller on a QS205? That is way too weak.

Yes I am using 100A controller and my BMS is a 100A as well, but still shouldn't that be enough for a 5000W motor. I have a 72V battery 40Ah. What's the deal with unlocking the controller? Is it something one can do at home or it's a new controller purchace?

A QS205 V3 should be able to take 15kW peak power. So 200 battery amps for serious acceleration. As you noticed, feeding only 100A leaves a lot on the table. And putting it in such a large diameter wheel futher reduces the torque.

Is there a big difference on 5T vs 3T on QS 205 if you are into wheelies? I'm waiting on my QS205 5T + Sab 72100 (guessing locked) + EEB frame/19" wheels and don't really care for wheelies but more into hitting 35-40mph speeds with long range in NYC.

Only 1000 Watts at 100 Amp controller/100 amp BMS is normal?

I will look at getting the 200A controller (although my 100 is basically new), but first I will see if I can unlock it. My wheels are 19 and my motor is 3.5T I think. I really have plenty of outright speed, just need to figure out how I can get the bike a bit quicker off the line.

Do you need to 60mph top speed? You could probably invest a lot into making a 3.5T motor perform like a 5T, so another option would be to swap out the motor.

Try lowing the throttle max voltage and increase mid point phase amps to 100%

Your wattage reading must be wrong if you hit 60mph ad only see 980w. Takes kWs to make that speed. I use 4kW to ride at 40mph contin.

I run 100A peak and it will throw you off. Hit ya hard. be careful. It will wheelie, at 20-30 mph, flicked in around a turn if you hit the throttle. Front end comes right up. From under 20mph, never hit full throttle, you will be thrown from the bike.

My max speed is only 45mph though. It is a 6T, 8kv motor. In a 19". Maximum watts I have ever saw was 8kw.

I did not see, do you have a good battery? I have ridden some QS V3 motors, and they were pooches.. I would be waiting for them to catch up most of the time around the hilly curved roads around here. ...then I have also ridden qs 205 V3 motors, they will kill ya. 250A plus.. 4T motor would pull the front end up past 40 mph... With 250A +, 18kW..... I have many friends who have a 205 that can smoke the tire too under power. I got a vid of one smoking the tire for lik twenty feet on a launch.... using recycled EV cells from a Renault. That bike pushes 24kW. Good battery helps. All these are no where near stock power levels. I would not be happy with 5kW peak on a V3, 205: I am happy with the 8kW peak on my V1 motor. Some people say the fun really starts at 400A phase +.

Smaller wheel, less kV, or more voltage, or better higher amp controller. My suggestions.

Hospital always has some hot nurses. Lol. This happened, on a throttle application, when the bike threw itself twenty five feet without me on it. Once. Litterally just hit the throttle from a 1-2mph roll.... and the bike threw me like a pony.

This hurt like hell for two days. Oxycontin didnt help at all.

I wont give my bike to a kid, nope. I did once, a teenager, some guy who was here to buy a Go Kart brought his kid. Talking, they saw my ebike there, I was like " Sure, she can try it".. Instant regret. I was so scared whe was gonna go full stupid onthe throttle.. in the grassy yard, i was worried the whole time she took a circle around the back yard. Like ten times i thought she was gonna hit the throttle and end up crying in the grass. She kept on looking back at her dad like " Am I ok? Is this safe?"... every time putting her feet down and I got all worried about the next time she would get going. You can NEVEr hit full throttle when your feet are down... Instant loop. I was really really worried the whole time.

Little twist, big lurch. She survived though, standing. Was very surprised at the torque. Her dad did eventually inquire about a bike for himself then, about a month later.

I'll never let a kid on my bike again.

Its an interesting phenomenon that should not be that interesting, its just common to human nature.

Not only does it happen riding ebikes, it also happens driving vehicles. That is why when driving, I would use the cruise control function frequently even in playground and school zones. Otherwise the speed just creeps higher and higher, you dont notice it as much while driving but while riding an ebike it sure happens more quickly.

Another interesting note is with a big display with digital units for the speed of the vehicles, you dont speed as much.
Could be the case while on an ebike if you even have a speed displayed but sooner or later your speed will creep up.

Its just the Human Condition.

What motor is it, and what phase amp can the controller deliver?

I had a bike like that with a qs 205 50h 4t. With a 17" rear wheel it was just on the point of starting to power wheelie with a controller that could deliver 350pA.
A small bump or so and the front wheel would lift.
With 500pA it would flip if you held full throttle from stand still and power wheelie up to pretty high speed.

I think with the controller that could do 350pA it did about 180battery A and with the 50pA controller about 350battery A.

I only find this record from a testride with 500pA:

It dosent really say what battery voltage or battery amp, but somewhere a little over 300bA I suppose and around 75V maybe.
