I've used my hacked up Scott blue chem suit coveralls a dozen times or so. Its very comfy up to a moderate rain, and the general configuration works well. Under a real soaker it gets wet through the seams, and the rain slicks over, but I only got a bit damp in the worst rains. It's quick to put on, but I would like quicker. The slow part is just getting boots through because the pants are not really big enough. A bit of rain collects in the hand & foot covers when I leave it draped on the bike. My hands get pretty cold when they're wet.
It's slowly ripping apart, mostly from me starting to fall over when standing on one foot fighting to get a boot through. So I have bought a couple other alternatives, will start with a cheap nylon/polyurethane motorcycle jacket/pants combo. Plan is to add foot & hand covers and join the pants to the jacket so I can grab it & pull on quicker. When I get time.
