My bike, or at least a good shot of the front end when I first set it up, looked great but it would have been better if it was in it's current state of rustyness:
bigtrike has long been one of my favorites, unfortunately it's all painted and stuff:
I remember a few months back on power-assist someone advertised a home made fully ajustable recumbent that had an electric assist for sale, it had surface rust all over and looked really awsome, anyone still got pics of that one?
Police Auction leftover, horrible brakes.. wobly back rim.. front suspension forks bottomed out from dried up elastomers.. filed down to fit the used WE BL motor with worthless 7ah SLA's and a burned out charge port.. Crooked handlebars.. derailer that never.. and i mean.. NEVER finds it's place.. clickety click.. click.. !@$^$
I removed the motor kit and installed it on another bike, ( once the e-assist addiction kicked into full gear and i realized it was worth installing a motor on a GOOD bike.. )
I gave the Bonelli to a friend at work who really needed a bike.. he ran it to the ground.. even worse than in the picture.. JB welded pedals and freewheel.. front brakes litterally broke off.. bottom bracket was crunchy in the end lol... Good thing it was stolen again before he broke his neck on it !...
I hope the front wheel broke off on the thief.. and he ended up in the ER.. damn thieves...
Now if only it had the original scaffolding paint job.
Also, this one is just begging to be electrified:
Put a pair of 5304s in that, run them above 100v, and fill those front triangles with lots of lithium. With the huge wheelbase, handling at 70mph should be superb.
I like the fact the one loooong bike is parked next to 2 empty beer kegs! You know you're hard core when you don't bother to return the empties, until there are enough to make the recycling trip worthwhile.
Old pic, the one in the middle was an ebike. Woulda been damn cool if it still had a hubmotor or something, shooting sparks on hard acceleration because of the studded tire.
