Hey All,

I just got off the phone with Bob from Astro Flight. He will be prototyping a RC ready twist grip throttle for me next week (or starting on it next week). This is essentially a Magura twist grip throttle wired to Astro's servo tester board with the original pot removed. In the place where the pot used to be, a 5V regulator will be mounted to power up the ESC. So, instead of hobbling together a servo tester, throttle, and BEC to use an RC controller, this will be a plug and play system.

For those who want current limiting, you will still need to go with Fechter's board. But, for those looking for a simple system without limiting, this will be the easiest option. I believe it will have output for a kill switch as well.

What are the chances of including Richard's current limiting circuit? Maybe paying Richard a nominal fee for each one sold?

The problem I see here is that the fechter circuit has a current shunt which requires the main power wires to go through it. In most cases people using this circuit would mount it down near the drive, not up on the handlebars. :x

The current limiter can be used with a standard Magura throttle. No problem there. Just buy his circuit and a Magura throttle and wire it directly up.

Plug and play. :D
