I acquired a used recumbent bicycle and did not like the squirrely, top heavy ride characteristics... so I re-imagineered it!
I acquired an 18" front fork and head tube and down tube from a girl's bike....turned the head/down tube to an inverted position and welded it onto the pedal adjustment tube of the short wheelbase recumbent frame.
I them moved the battery and controller to a position under the frame and below the center line of the rear 26" tire. Thus getting a mass of weight down below my butt in the seat. (which was now also down lower & nearer the rear wheel center line).
I therefore achieved a much lower center of gravity, long wheelbase, semi-recumbent bicycle. It was a real pleasure to drive compared to the original top heavy unit.
I was very proud of my now sweet riding contraption and took it many places and let many people ride it. A recumbent owner liked it so much he offered me a price I couldn't refuse!!
Now I am developing a Semi-Recumbent production long wheelbase bicycle and a Semi-Recumbent Enclosed Tadpole Tricycle....my website is http://www.ERV1.com.

You turned it into a Sun EZ. Better I'm sure.
