Red and Gold, or Red & Silver?

Hi. So what do you fashion members feel gives what perception, between these two combinations? I'm talking a red bike with gold or silver trims, but if you feel like it, how about Red and Black?

Red and black.
Red and chrome can look damn good, but silver is just a shiney/sparkley grey.
Red and gold could look sweet if it's done right, but it could also look like sh!t if the bike design doesn't have the shape to pull off 2 aggressive colors.

Silver goes well with candy apple green, red goes with gold. Red with black and white i would stay away from

Gold under Candy Apple Red is a popular classic car combination as is Silver under Blue. 8)

seeing those patriotic colours again makes me want to invade switzerland.

What lettering would look best on a red bike, dark blue, gold or silver, potentially chrome or brushed?

Why don't you use a program? something like Photoshop might do it and compare them against your bike then you can play with tones and percentage of the colour's letterings, stipes and what not

Well i dont have PS and unfortunately since last night no slaughter bike for parts either since it was stolen after a bizarre secuense of events. I guess that opens up the options, design wise.
