Revenge of the Electric car movie is on Hulu

The whole problem with that is that most folks these days can't change a tire and are working their butts off at some job they hate to pay the landlord and the banks. DIY is great for maybe 1% of the population but the other 99% sees our stuff as expensive weird junk. I know this from experience.

Tesla had a great idea to come out with something really attention getting, the roadster, to get people excited and prove what they are capable of. I haven't looked into the sedan but if they can sell them profitably somewhere near the cost of a similar gas car, they might just be successful.

If people would just quit buying things from the giant corporations that are making it nearly impossible for the small scale guys to compete, the whole field would open up. Leaf and Volt buyers are supporting monsters that care about nothing but money. If they'd spend their money with guys like Gadget or even Tesla, their purchases really would be making a difference in a positive way.

Also, what's the deal with the guy that REALLY started Tesla? I need to look into that more. Makes me wonder if Mr. Musk really even knows anything about EV's or if he just used his huge amounts of cash to steal the idea and the glory from the real inventor???

"Gadget" fell on his face twice with a fire and a bad investment on a toxic dump, He lost some used cars and some equipment, some money and some time, but he's back on this feet. And at the very least, he owns an electric car and saving money.

something tells me he hasn't seen a return on his investment yet. lol
(meaning, his electric-car hasn't "saved" him "money")

I also got the huge feeling it's just a "hobby" for him, because they didn't mention anything about:
... how many cars has he converted ?
... what does it cost to convert ?
... how long does it take ?

I feel like we only ever saw him working on his own cars.

agreed, it seemed like they didn't even give the guy any camera time.

Maybe they didn't show the founder of tesla more because of an agreement or some kind of legal thing. Mr. Musk, or as I like to call him "stiff lip McDouche teeth" strikes me as the kind of guy that has not even two of his own genuine ideas to rub together. The whole movie all you ever hear his say is a bunch of manager talk, no real knowledge about EVs, just a rich kid that knows how to push money around to make it look like something's really happening. I might be compelled to strike him if we ever met, just something about that guy that makes my blood boil.

I love the move of having a new fiancé before your even divorced though, real class act. I would want to put ten babies in her as well

The big companies, like Nissan, and GM, can afford to subsidize the cost of batteries. Dudes like Gadget don't get the big discounts on batteries, if they get decent batteries at all. Even at the reduced rate large auto companies pay, battery costs are still high. This is a large reason why electric cars are not quite affordable, yet.

Start churning out those NMC cells en masse! Early adopters; Thank you getting the ball rolling!

true, his batteries are expensive. I wonder if he's even for real, could be another reality TV actor.. I found his website but nothing in it. You would think he'd be established by now at least on the net, you know "fake it till you make it"

So how about AGM SLA's? About 2900 bucks for 18 SLA's is about 620 lbs..plus an old Datsun wagon and a conversion kit. That should be affordable.. SLA's still doable? White Zombie started with SLA.. I don't need to go crazy fast, I just want a town car with enough power to reliably haul the fam.

Tesla people should've started selling kits instead of wasting time and money on the Roadster and its fancy touch screen internet crap. But instead of a single motor, hub wheels!Any hub kits for cars out there?

PML Flightlink's Hi-Pa Drive hubs are the future 8) Why do they take so long to put out these products?? It ain't rocket science, it's an electric motor.. WTF!
