..... A 8S 30A pack brings me back to more than 1600W per skate and is lighter than the 12S pack, where the 12S pack at 30A will bring me over 3000W.....?

can you explain the maths of how a 12s (48v) , 30A pack gives you 3000W ?
...or are you working on the 50+A output ?

Mistyped ; I meant each pack in 2P config for the power levels in my previous post.

Funny thing when you talked about 50+A output I first thought you where refering to the ESC then remembered that the new cell is actually able to shoot 50A.

3000mAh is a big capacity (of 18650 cell standard) so we do not lose what we already had, instead we replace a Prius by a Ferrari and keep same range. What's not to love?

it is 21700 format and not 18650, so you should compare the energy density (in terms of weight and required space) rather with 2000-2500mAh cells.
