scooter battery access

I have a new Werhy Pro 3 electric scooter (Amazon special) that maybe someone can tell me how to access the battery. The floor pan is welded on beneath the frame so maybe access to the battery is on top under the tightly glued down rubber floor mat? The instruction book says the battery is not accessible but I can't believe they are welded in the floor pan and not accessible. I would just like to look at the battery cells to identify what type they are so I know what I will be dealing with when the battery pack fails. Book says they are lithium but lithium what?

I don't know about that particular model, but I have a similar scooter that had screws hidden under the rubber floor mat. You may need to peel up the edges to find the screws.

Thank you, I suspected that is the way to get Battery access but don't want to pull up the tightly glued floor mat at this point as it is still under warrantee.

Sometimes you can locate the screws by using a small magnet or feeling indentations under the rubber. Then you can cut an "X" over the screw head and just peel back enough to get access to the screw.
