Been a while since I was on here. I built an electric longboard that went in the loft because it terrified me no handed!

I’m back with a view to building a scooter, mainly from parts of the longboard.

I have 6s lipos, esc and turnigy 5065 236kv motor.

The donor scooter has 9” wheels.

I’ve only got room for chain drive, as I’d like it quite stealthy and (if possible with this motor) I’d want 20mph-30mph maybe, but a nice bit of acceleration too.

I’ve tried the calculators online, but they only tell you speed, not acceleration. I guess if I get it wrong, it could reach 50mph with a 2 mile run up but would be dull as hell!

Any recommendations on sprocket sizing and where to buy for this set up? I’m sure there would be better parts for me to use, but I’m doing this mainly out of bits I have for the fun of it and to see where it goes.

try this calculator https://electricscooterparts.com/drivetrain-parts-selection-guide.html

also accelaration is based on torque and gear ratio (the higher the ratio the faster accelartion and the less top speed and via versa)
i believ the calculator is giving optimum speed at a good accelation but if you would like more torque for a little less speed try add some grade% (incline) so the calculator gives you less top speed and more torque

tho7ugh i just realized your motor specs are in kv and motor size so you might have to look at the website you got them from for the watts and rpm or you could get a calculator that gets those for you if they exist
