Hi Endless Sphere,
Has anyone used one of these? I started out trying to make a 13s pack using the TI BQ76940, then found what I thought was exactly what I was about to design online on Amazon. for 8GBP (11USDish)...
So I thought what a waste of KiCAD time me doing this... and ordered it. Of course, it showed up with a SinoWealth SH367008 chip where I thought I had recognised the TI chip... The pinouts are so similar, and the image was such low resolution
But the Sino chip doesn't appear to be bad, from the datasheet, via Google translate. In fact, it looks perfectly sensible, and the PCB I received from Amazon has a JLCPCB part number (I think), and looks pretty good quality. The wire that looks like a manual mod is a thermistor BTW.
So any advice? Any experience with this chip, or even this exact part, before I connect it to 150$ worth of batteries and tie a 55VPSU to it?
It's going on a custom EBike, which will live in a brick shed with an asbestos roof... I'll be insulating the batteries properly electrically etc.
The part I bought (3 of) was:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B081SN2YFN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Any advice/experience greatly appreciated
I'm also designing a controller, ESC, non VESC... Vesc is rather $$$ aiming for 100A 100V. PCBs delivered in a few days... Just saying, since it's my first post. Probably post stuff about that later if joining this forum goes well.
