Shifter electronic signal

Has anyone built sensors that do a pulse for the brake signal on shifters? I'm particularly interested in getting an Alfine 11 on a BBS02 ebike to signal to back off the power on every shift. But would like to know of any shifters able to send the pause signal to the motor.
