Hey guys,
In my quest to make an isolated lipo charger to charge through the balance taps I've scoured the usual sources and checked the spec on a number of cameras and other electronic device chargers and come up with these little guys on ebay - sony psp chargers. $6 ea delivered on ebay ($5 for you guys in the US) and they have an output of 4.2v @ 1550ma - perfect for safely charging through the balance taps.

I've just bought 3 to test for now, but thought I'd give others a headsup if they're interested in making something similar.
It's not intended for regular charging, I do bulk charging with a meanwell, these are just for topping up and sorting out slightly out of balance packs. For around the same price as a battery medic you can make an isolated 6S charger that will pull your packs up instead of down :)

nice find !

but why have this devices 3 pins, you only need 3 of them to build a 6s ?

I just got another box of assorted celphone chargers/etc (a friend saved them for me from his workplace when they recycled a bunch of phones but not the accessories) that I am sorting thru. Some with base units appear to have the full charger built into them, and may make good single cell chargers like the ones you found.

I use a similar one including the celphone battery to power my old m100 PDA for the bike computer. I'm sure I can replace that with a single LiCo cell if I have extras after building my pack.
