Singlespeed on 9c motor

Hi all,
Will a regular shimano single speed freewheel fit in the 9c threads? I ordered one to convert my bike to single speed on the rear as I dont use the gears anyway and I already broke the one I got with my kit. Just started wondering if the threading was the same. So if anyone knows let me know.
