Any suggestions for a small video camera (smaller the better) that can be mounted on a full face motorcycle helmet with epoxy or velcro? No drilling!

Use what everyone else is using, gopros lol, or if you want to spend a bit more money you can pick up an insta360 which are also pretty decent.

Hey what's up Chalo? You usually post useful info.
I was fitting the A to the Q. If somebody asks what kind of ice maker to use on his skateboard, expect something similar.

The most important requirement for an action video camera is image stabilization, so not sure how tiny you can physically go without losing that. The Hero 4K is pretty tiny.

My question was nothing like "what kind of ice maker to use on a skateboard" which makes no sense. What additional details should I have included?

Watched the video. Looks pretty small and not a lot of money ($180 currently). How would you mount it on the chin guard of the full face helmet?

Search on gopro helmet mount, since they are curved to help match the contour of the helmet. They come with heavy duty two way tape, but if you could use epoxy if it's going to be permanent. The downside of the small camera is small battery though.

I believe in the US, videoing from public property is fine. From private property, no, and they can also get you for trespassing. That said, most folks do like being videoed, so best to use your discretion.

Did you mean most folks "do not" like being videoed?

I don't see any privacy issues videoing as I am riding. What about in the parking lot of a shopping center, in a supermarket isles shopping for groceries etc (not in the restroom)?

Velcro tends to be kind of floppy. I'd use VHB double sticky tape.
I bought a cheap GoPro knock off but you get what you pay for. It works but the picture isn't great.
I made a mount that holds my iPhone on my chest between the straps on my backpack and that worked nicely.

Yup sorry, do not. In the supermarket, etc., the owners can kick you out for trespassing if they want. You want to stay away from taping audio, specifically any private conversations, without consent though, since that could become a wire tapping issue. I don't use my gopro around people much, unless they just happen to be in the frame when I'm riding by. I'd rather maintain a low profile while ebiking.
Laws vary by state, but most focus on the audio portion that can get you in the most trouble.

I was given a couple of gopros. With handle bar mount they work fine and with all the other clutter on my bars, nobody ever notices the camera so not likely to cause concerns. FWIW I don't like people taking pictures or videos that clearly show my face (or other obvious identifiable features) without asking first, but I'm old, etiquette has changed and in public places as has been pointed out, is legal. I usually just block my face with my middle finger extended when it's obvious someone is photographing me.

I've got other mounts which include chest mounts and helmet mounts. The helmet mounts have bottoms that are curved similarly to helmets and use VHB tape to adhere. That's considered permanent (they use that stuff for airplane windows, etc.) although it could be removed later (unlike epoxy). Velcro won't work since the camera will wobble around way too much and videos are garbage.

Personally I wouldn't consider doing a helmet mount though... looks too dorky/egocentric/attention craving (daddy look at me!) and it's very obvious you are recording, or at least might be. The handlebar mount much better suits my purposes. Very easy to turn on and off - you'll need a wireless controller for the helmet mount to work well. If I stop I can point with 180+° motion or even pop it out of the mount (takes literally a couple of seconds). Very convenient.

I've gotten some fun videos but frankly most of the time they're boring and it's more a novelty for me. I've got a video of a drunk neighbor driving his jeep into a canal, the cops chasing them down and later fishing the jeep out LOL. Then again the cameras didn't cost me anything, just the mounts...

I have been using this mini camera setup for a couple years now,
works very well, provides sharp clear video's/photo's etc.
I also have one mounted on my helmet for GP.

ymmv
