so I'm mounting my new bags and had a bit of an accident. Seems that I drilled a very neat 1/8 hole right between two pouches of my ping 48v20ah.

Now what?

Can I slide some paper between them, drop of hot glue to seal and hope for the best or should I replace the cells?

I'm not even sure what I would replace them with, call ping I suppose

Once they have water vapor in them, it's over.

to be honest, im so disgusted right now i never looked to see where in the circuits the damn things got cut. after doing this, i figured oh well, il still mount my bags and build my harness and deal with the battery later only to find the "craftsmanship" of the fabricator i used was so poor that i can't continue. I have to redo all of it. every piece. i basically paid $300 for a harley LED tail light.

im so disgusted i put it away. i will take it to my dads house next weekend and do it right (like i should have to begin with) and be done.

you can salvage the two pouches that did not get punctured and save them for spares and just convert the 16S to 15S and hack the ping signalab BMS or buy another 16S BMS which you don't need to hack. then adjust the charger voltage down to match.

4 cells already soldered in parallel is not a bad idea. It will make the repair a lot easier. and leave you with a few spares.
