Hi. Grin Tech pointed me here. Thanks if you can offer any kind of help but no worries if it's a lost cause:
  • I have a CYC X1 Pro Gen 2 with the ASI BAC 855.
  • I followed the troubleshooting guide on the CYC site and believe I have a torque sensor failure, based on seeing this in the CYC app (but tell me if you read it differently):
    • The torque sensor connector shows just over 1.5v when connected and drops to close to zero when disconnected.
    • Using the pas setting “axle torque” there is no reaction from the motor when turning the cranks
    • Using the pas setting “single hall” there is a kind of short reaction (really just a blip or hiccup) from the motor but it's not sustained.
  • The kit is on my Surly Pugsley (no kickstand unfortunately) so falls over occasionally. Given all I'm reading, I suspect that’s the cause.
  • Neither CYC or the other resellers stock 100mm factory BBs for that generation. It uses a 6-pin Higo from the BB non-drive cup to connect to the controller.
Because of a lack of direct replacement BBs I asked Grin for suggestions for aftermarket torque sensors that were plug n' play with this kit. They indicated both erider T17 and Fischer torque sensors are 6-pin Higo but questioned whether they'd be plug n' play, and recommended asking you kind people.

Do any of you know whether those aftermarket sensors would be plug n' play with the Gen 2, or is there anything that I can do in the CYC app settings (for the BAC855) to accommodate one or the other of those?

thank you

It was a simple ERider BB sensor. We had the datasheet here in the forum once, but the link is dead.
Perhaps one of the moderators can restore it?

You can get them at aliexpress, check if you need middle wire / side wire, and choose the right width by clicking the right "colour"

Edit: this spare part looks different?! But I guess the inner parts with the electronics are the same, so may be you can swap them...
