Very nice Fullnoob! how long till you up and riding?

good idea to go test without seat?

Just pretend its a Trials Bike  Stand up the whole time with your feet on the pegs....errr pedals. Yah that will work.

phase wires too thick.. with the new dropout that is rotated 90degree should fix the problem.

Jay can i buy just the swingarm?

ok so how many full links do i need?

Thats a good question, I don't know if the distance from the BB to the dropouts on the Flux is shorter or longer than my Fighter. What I can do is count the links on my Fighter, but that may not be correct for Flux.

2 lots of half links ?
The bigger question is do you particularly need a half link ? The number of links you'll need depends on the size of your chain ring, freewheel and if it's single speed or looped through a derailleur or tensioner. AFAIK you can't run a half link chain with a derailleur.

Re: buying just a swing arm, the answer is probably but I'll have to check on pricing.

In flx related news, I have my demo beta nearly built.
Here's a teaser pic :)

Sweet Jay, chompin on the bit to see more. Getting a case of the wants. Cant wait to hear your ride report as well.

The stage is almost set for a battery build! - yes that's a pile of Samsung 30qs. They came in 7 separate packages individually bubble wrapped in little boxes. One cell per box.

This is for my poor flux gathering dust! Shame on me :(

Will probably start a thread in battery section when sparks start flying soon.

Sweet Lash, its been a while, what are you going to be running for a battery and motor on your Flx?

I hope to copy 9lives and go with a 18s10p 2 layer pack. I have an adaptto maxe and BMS on the way too! So should be Ali singing all dancing when it's ready. Leaving my samD 80a controller for another build in the future! Maybe a fat bike. I actually am at the beach for the weekend testing out the Reid Zeus fat bike I just bought. Goes on on the sand but you get a real work out. A tourqey efatty would be loads of fun. Sand is a bitch tho on gears. Can't wait to get the flux happening though. Oh and I have the mxus v2 already from samD. So the battery is the last piece of the puzzle.

Yeah, looking forward to seeing you finally riding it.

Also look forward to seeing the betas. Been thinking more about getting one.

So due to adversity getting in the way and me spending all my spare time hooking the rest of you guys up :p I'm only just getting around to building my own fluxes now!

Here's the progress so far. I've gone with a black white with splashes of red. Needless to say, it's going to be an e-moto orientated bruiser for the alpha 8)

The HEB FLX Alpha will be sweet. I think on my Alpha, I will follow your lead and drop the seat post all the way down.

Got some stuff incoming, front 24" rim, Marzocchi 55R, 203 rotors(maybe overkill) and lacing in tc3080 (from Rix) into 24" MTB rim with 12G Spokes.
So much fun to open the presents!

Certainty looks like it.
Just had my flux painted black. Ill post up some picks after the weekend. I have most of the componenfs for th5 build.

Im going to use the paterson drive.

Ya clowns, clearly it's not nearly finished and there's at least a dozen parts missing! :p

I'm looking foward to seeing your 24" beta Alex!. I assume you're going to use an adaptto ? mini or mid ?
It'll be interesting to see if the adaptto works with these smaller crowns given it doesnt with the bigger ones.

Your black beta will be unique Rod in a sea of grey and white ones.

Rick, my low seat post is largely a function of me being a short arse
I'd actually drop it an inch lower if the frame would allow it but that's as low as I can go without using a shorter shock.

Well, I bet you low seat post contributes to great handling. Seems like the lower I go on my bikes, the better they work handling wise. Of course I have known this, my point is, I always compromise with a minimum seat height for pedal assist at the price of handling. Not the case on my next build though.

I will prolly use Midi or maybe even maxi. Will test three motors, mxus3k-45mm, Leaf 35mm and tc3080-30mm
So, are you able to make the Adaptos work with the TC series?

I will se how it performs, will be very interesting. But if this fails, nothing to do about it except waiting on their redesigned from scratch hardware(it there will be any).
