Who has used this motor?

Suringmax SR35HD1500w

Is this an analog of Quanshun or Crystalite?

Not much data. RPM and number of turns of winding.

It looks like a Nine Continent clone with 35mm stator. Whether it's any good is all in the details, like lamination thickness, magnet field strength, side cover and axle manufacturing quality. If the price is right, you can try one and see.

Yeah yet another 9C clone.. There exist hundreds of companies selling them under different names.

If you are looking for quality ( and value priced ), then you should consider the leafbike 1.5kw.. it is not much more expensive than these clones, is made from quality materials, and is more efficient, therefore will have more power per watt inputted

..don't buy leaf's controller however, it sucks!

NEP what controller and voltage. What display do you like do you need a pas ? Free will or cassette ? Disc brake or rim break make a boxer size of the battery in the controller and put it on your bike see we're going to fit those items. On your rear nut do you have enough room for a big nut to fit next to your derailleur ?
Try to find these things out before you buy.
Oh yeah what bike do you want to put it on.
Have a link or a pic ?
Leaf has high shipping cost.
Don't get a cheap battery. Warning.

I was looking for a replacement motor.
And I found this model Suringmax 1500W.
It's time to switch to direct drive. All gear motors are complete crap. Unless of course there is a box with spare overrunning clutches.

Now I'll use old components. Battery Lifepo4 52V 50Ah and Kelly controller 25A.
Later I'll look and replace the battery with a more powerful one and another controller.

I built the bike based on a 2010 Specialized Demo 8 II so I'm limited on motor size. The dropouts are only 135mm apart.

.. i see that you haven't heard of MAC motors yet!

You can jam a motor with a 40mm wide stator into that size and hit highway speeds.. way less limited than you think.

There are 135 mm kits of 3,000 Watts 45mm stator. I got one for about $350 shipped. It's a Sali motor disc brake only. It came with a display and as being the cheapest 3,000 watt motor on the market it has its quirks the controller ramps up a little slower. It's not like an aftermarket lyen controller off the line speedwise..

It was the MAC that died, bro!
The gears is fine. But the springs in the clutch were designed by an idiot. Look at the photo.
When rotating, the springs simply wore out.
These are square springs.
I installed regular cylindrical ones. And sometimes used so.

Through month got a new problem the controller showed a cable break or a broken hall sensor. After all the checks and replacing all the sensors, nothing changed.

I only know MXUS 3000 turbo. What else?

That's interesting, haven't seen that kind of failure on MACs.. cable break? it can happen to any motor.
How much power were you running and how old was this motor?

Crystalite used to sell a HS40xx, 40mm wide
MXUS 3kw turbo is still for sale as the XF40.

Surely there's a few others. I just never investigated them, i found that a 35mm leafmotor had more than enough power.. i hit 60mph but still didn't manage to tap out the motor.. and i couldn't keep the frontend on the ground.. how much power do you need?

Of course, the cable break can happen with any motor. But not all motors have terribly designed springs in the clutch.
They might as well have been made of plastic.

Тhe maximum possible. Now I use LiFePo4 52V 50Ah battery. And Kelly controller 25A current.

But in the future I’ll assemble the 66-72V battery and change the controller to fully utilize the motor's capabilities.
