I did not quite know where to post this, but...

As of 31 July 2013, a total of 7 Model S new units and one used import had been registered in Norway.[104][105] During its first month in the Norwegian market, a total of 186 units were delivered to retail customers, allowing the Model S to rank as the second most sold electric car in August 2013 behind the Nissan Leaf (448 units).[106] Model S sales together with record Leaf sales, allowed the electric car segment in Norway to reach its best monthly sales ever and a record 6.0% market share of new passenger car sales in August 2013, up from 3.6% in August 2012.[106][107] Sales surged in September 2013, with a total of 616 units delivered, making the Tesla Model S the top selling car in Norway during this month, representing a market share of 5.1% of all the new cars sold in the country during this month, and contributing to a record 8.6% market share for plug-in electric vehicle sales during September.[16][17][18

Now that"s something.

Seems to be 446 000 NOK, which is around 74 000 US dollars.

One has to remember also, that Norway is one of the most expensive countries in the world, so that"s not bad price for norwegians at all, and i think they get rebates too. Free parking, free electricity, etc. It"s looks like a great car. I would pay to have a ride as a passenger on one.

As a norwegian thats actually driven the car and know the legislation. Tesla has no tax or road tax to be registred. In addition, e-cars can drive in bus lanes, do not pay for parking and no fees on the highway.

This was originally a think-car incentive, but the environmental-movement has managed to keep the legislation - making electric cars a no brainer.

If you're norwegian and want a good car: buy a Nissan Leaf. If you want a fast car: buy a Tesla.

Tesla is competing with BMWs, Audis and other cars that retail for far over a million here in norway - tesla matches their performance and costs half. Tesla will have a huge impact on norwegian infrastructure if they play their car(d)s right.

Only AUD$80k

In Australia, when they finally get here, will be well over $100k. I shit you not.

I think the Leaf is still ~$50k :(

I agree. If you want one here it's probably time to invest in some lubrication.

The two 2012 roadsters on carsales.com.au are somewhere around the $250,000 mark.

Selling like hot cakes, Reuters:

"The first Tesla Model S to be delivered in Norway rolled onto its streets on August 7. By the end of September, it had become the best-selling car in the country—not just among electric vehicles but conventional ones too. Tesla sold 616 cars in September (link in Norwegian), giving it a market share of 5.1% for the month. It comfortably beat out the perennially popular Volkswagen Golf, which runs on gas and found only 561 buyers for 4.6% of the market.
Indeed, Norwegians are so keen to get their hands on a Model S, they are willing to pay a premium for a second-hand car, the direct opposite of the way the car business works. (It is conventional wisdom that a car begins to depreciate the moment you take possession of it.) Reuters reports that people are willing to pay as much as $20,000 over the list price."
