Using an Astro 3220 and playing around with an Astro 3210. I have to of the best motors but have a few questions
1. these motors only want to be run in their higher RPM range 5-10 thousand rpm range, can not bog them at all? Right?
2. this why the large amount of reduction. Keep them in the high rpm range all the time.
3. How are you all dealing with the torque from the large amount of reduction? Would using a belt from the motor to my crank set help with the initial hit. I have the throttle turn down and the amps down too.
4, Has anyone tried a spur gear set up? Helical gears. I know there would be some efficiency lost but my 3220 has so much power it could stand to give up a little.
