Mostly to eat, for survival. The waste (Biomass) & human waste could be incinerated, for extra power.
Trips to the surface to get combustibles would be possible, as well as burying coal, or such with you.

Camelina seed is the latest oil that is showing promise as a WVO/Bio-diesel feedstock (also palm-seed oil?). Soybean is well-known, though its not the best source per acre. Harvest the soybeans, crush them, boil them, oil rises to the top, skim it off. Toast the soy-mash (I don't remember why) and you have a high protein soy flour that is good for man or livestock.

A small diesel tractor and diesel generator are great post-apocalyptic village tools. Not to mention vegetable oil is a great anti-zombie flamethrower fuel. Can't have french fries without vegetable oil.

Mostly fruit & nut trees, grazing cow'&chicken' above ground.
Fish farm all around.
2000' x2000'
Moat is 200' W x 50' D.
Aeroponic growth in out buildings/underground.

Silo is 80' dia. 4 corner buildings & 2 driveside buildings are 100' x 100'.
Silo is the main house as well as entrance to the underground world.
2 Driveside buildings are business' 1 the garden market, the other an eBike shop.
4 corner buildings will likely be housing for others.
Could also function as production/storage/gun towers.


When the shit goes down. We retire to the tubes for a few years. :wink:
