I'm just about to pull the trigger on a N360 rear CVT hub from Nuvinci...but I'm not 100% convinced.
What I do know is I do want an internal geared hub, not a external geared unit. I've got a 750W Bafang crank drive unit that will power the bike.
The Alfine 11spd was my other choice, but I've tossed that out the window as its been reviewed as fragile even without electric power...so a ebike would possibly destroy it.
I've enjoyed a simple 3spd internal SRAM unit, and with the crank driven motor, its as simple as switchin 3 gears. Of course, without battery power, the 3spd does not have a low or tall enough ratios.
So. I'm no debating between a Alfine or Nexus 8spd unit with about 307% gear range, or the Nexus N360 with 360% gear range.
Does anyone have any experience with either or both in an ebike application?
