The older 300A could be turned off by holding the external button for 10 seconds, and a shorter press to turn on
Now I have these newer 420/1050A screw terminal ant bms:es and can only turn on with the button.
To turn off I have to use the phone app.

Is there a way to get that function on the newer bms:es? There are a few settings that I don't know what they are for, but I haven't seen anything obviously related to turning off or button functions.

Here are some:

Jumpersetting L/H in system params. No idea what they are for..

Function configuration 1/2, in 1 there are some choices, not sure what they do though..

In "other params" there are all these "additional parameter" 1-6, no idea what they do.

I have an ANT 20-30s 220/550A and currently have a plug to isolate the red+ sensor wire external to the battery. Unplugging for a split second turns off the bms. I was contemplating making a normally closed momentary switch on this wire or alternatively using a switch to bypass the thermistor to a resistor to make the bms think its 70 deg to force it into protect mode.

I didnt go ahead with either of these options as I didnt like the idea of relying on switch contacts remaining closed on a dirt bike and adding another point of potential failure. Instead I just use my phone short term to and unplug the red wire if I want to turn off the bms.
