Hello everyone, I'm having some trouble with this charger that I recently bought from hobby King and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them,
The charger worked fine to charge some 2s, 3s, and 4s, batteries but when I hooked up my 10000mah 6s lipo it just charged for about a minute then started beeping, and on the screen it said that there was no battery connected. So I tried it on the other side and it did the exact same thing, on for a minute then no connection. so I opened it and found the trace melted in two places, I re soldered the melted spots and connected the charger to the battery only to get a big spark and melted solder, is there anyone with this same charger that fixed this problem? Here's a link to a video of what it does now with the burnt trace https://db.tt/H2UiOiKV
EDIT: I couldn't see any burnt mosfet or transistor and i didn't do any testing but I'm guessing a couple of them will be shorted. Can I test them on the board or will I have to take them off? Is there anyone here who knows how to upgrade this charger? Right now they rate it at 10 amp 6s but that didn't work. I would like for it to handle the rated power with upgraded electronics.
