will form a 10s 1p pack for my cute100 motor 250w. My concern is which is more durable and will have more charge cycles?

and also will this

be able to balance cells without any power source. I intend to bulk charge the 10s1p with a 36v alloy shell charger (43v nominal) and then use the above to balance each pack one by one.

Based on my experience a couple years ago I'd say Turnigy. If for no other reason than much more pliable Silicone wires. But things change and progress is optional....

Turnigy for the same reason as Ykick, but I have had a lot more success with Turnigy cells not failing on me as well.
My experience with zippy is the 8000mah size though.

Perhaps a bit of follow-up?

During the 1st year with mixed batch of Turnigy/Zippy bricks I felt the Zippy's remained in slightly tighter cell balance than the Turnigy's but beyond that year Zippy's generally puffed sooner, experienced more cell failures and generally sagged more as they aged, compared to Turnigy's.

Latest batch of Turnigy 20C 4S hardcase packs/bricks appear to be a very good deal/bargain. At least based on 16qty I received recently from WA USA warehouse and at this Wh/$ price-point I'm not too terribly concerned about longevity anymore. 'already went back for a 2nd order and stocked-up so I don't mind promoting them, lol...

The Turnigy have the PCB that the cell tabs are soldered to
is this a "special" pcb? all my zippys have a pcb as well. just a small 5x5cm board with slots to fit the tabs, then soldered together and balance wires attached. the newer zippys have silicone wires for balance tabs as well, which is very welcome.

Hard to say if the turnigy you buy today will have the pcb tab support. But if tearing tabs off is your problem, I think you need to rethink how you handle the packs.

My impression of turnigy vs zippy from 3 years ago was the turnigy definitely had more capacity. But not like an ah more, just more like .2 ah more. Zippies fit in a smaller space for sure. Those were all soft packs, I have no idea if there is any difference in size between hard packs brands.

Bottom line, you buy what's in stock in your local warehouse. Last spring, It was an easy choice for me. It was zippies if I wanted some 6s packs. Later on when I got more money, all I could get was zippies, in 3s hardcases.

Right now, I was able to get 4s turnigy hardcase packs. You of course, will have easier shipping from the main warehouse.
