Anyone know of any good solutions for having a USB charge port on the battery/ESC case for charging phone/camera/wii remote?

EDIT: specifically for a 7s 35C setup

what voltage are you at? This works for 12v:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-DC-Converter-Module-12V-To-5V-USB-Output-Power-Adapter-3A-15W-/221451381900?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item338f87ec8c

and I'm sure there are other higher voltage offerings. If push comes to shove, use a converter to get down to 12V then use this as a USB port.

There are lots of 12v to 5v USB converters like the one cal3thousand mentioned above.. but it's just a matter of getting our 25.9v down to 12v (I think?)

I bought one of those to run off an auxilary 12v battery I have and it works great. Only good up to 32v.

Thanks - last time I ordered a bunch of powerpoles from that company I bought some other things they had as well.

I use that above for my 12 volt battery to power my lights, turn signals and cell phone charger. Works very well and it's
nice to have the extra ports if I need to power something else.

They have other options if you do not need so many ports.

Just take 5v off the BEC no reason to get overly complicated.
8) very good idea

Sounds good indeed. Sounds like the simplest solution.. but how does it work/how do you do it?

EDIT: I take it the BEC is the 5V pin output from the ESC (perfect for usb). How would you ground the USB though? one wire to the BEC pin and one to the ground pin?

This looks sweet. Has 10-32v INPUT so at 7s 25.9V in theory you wouldn't even need to convert down to 12v or use a 12v auxiliary..

Was talking to Richard, he showed me these:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191241073152

Input Voltage: 4.5V-40V
Output Voltage: 1.5V-35V (Variable; adjustable via multi-turn preset)

You could then (I think?) run one of the 12V DC multi-tap things that ohzee linked to power some headlights and a USB charge port.

Still lovin the idea of just tapping 5V from the BEC, simple clean, smallest install. But I'm gonna need the 12v supply for the headlights anyway.
