Use controller for geared hub motor-bafang with direct drive hub motor-bafang?

Hi, thanks for this resource. I have an extra, complete, 25w controller and wiring harness for a 1000w geared, hub motor-G062 from a Juiced Ripcurrent S ebike, and a bafang G063 direct drive hub motor from another ebike build. Will the controller for the geared hub motor work well with a direct drive hub motor?

If you mean 25A controller, then yes that should work okay. It will likely display the wrong speed, and depending on its firmware restrictions it might limit the top speed more than you want.

G063 I believe is just the newer version g062 geared hub not sure if connections are the same.

Yes it's a 25a controller. I think you are right. The motor will be receiving
Higher amps thru out the pas sensor levels, whereas if it were a geared motor I think the amps would be in tune with the PAS levels

Both motors are geared. Bafang doesn’t make direct drive motors.
