Votol EM-150 non CAN USB question

I fried my votol usb cable. User error / wiring issue. Can I use a regular uart / TTL cable for this? Does anyone know how else to connect? I bought a knock off votol cable off Amazon and it doesn’t work (the windows device manager name was literally “this is not a valid pros ima device”). I don’t want to wait two weeks on aliexpress…

Closing the loop on my post. A regular ftdi cable works great. Just plug ground to ground (black) and the two data lines in. Leave vcc unplugged. That’s it. Worst case you have the data lines switched.
