Hello everybody, my first post but I've learned a lot from you guys lurking the last couple months.

Just put together my first build. I got the MAC kit from EM3EV. Hooked everything up, turned on the power switch and nothing. Checked the voltage from the wiring harness and was 42v (10s Lipo). Checked at power supply wires going into the controller, 42v. Double checked all the connections visually and physically, and everything is connected. I tried all the combinations of power and speed switches and nothing.

Am I missing something? Is there another switch on the controller I don't know about? What's the next step to troubleshoot?

Thanks!

Please go to the User Control Panel, select Profile, and then enter your city, state/province, and country into the Location field (country minimum). This will help people help you. Example: Wylie, TX, USA. Without knowing what country you are in it's hard to make any recommendations. Thank you.

does your controller have a switch on it or does the controller current come in on a separate small red wire? the big red wire and the big black wire go to the output mosfets and the controller current is on a separate small red wire. if that is connected then you can go look for 5V on the red wire on the throttle plug. black as ground red is 5V.

if you post up a picture of your controller we might be able to help.

If your controller has a small red ignition wire it has to be connected to positive battery voltage.

I also have one of MAC kit from EM3EV and can confirm that there is a small red ignition wire has to be connected to positive battery voltage in order to power on the controller. That small red wire is supposed to be for a on/off switch. Try it! it should fire up right away.

Solved! One of the small contact pins inside the throttle connector was bent and therefore not making contact. Straightened it out and it works.

Thanks for the input!
