If remember correctly, the first Currie rear mounted motors were branded USPD, and didn't give Currie top billing until later. The early motors were brushless, with a two stage planetary gear/small pitch chain reduction and an internal needle roller clutch that proved to be the main reliability hangup.

Later, some Currie branded bikes got much cruder Unite type motors with spur gear reduction and a ratcheting freewheel. Yours isn't one of those, but I'm not sure what it is you have in terms of brushed vs brushless, voltage, power rating etc. It does appear to have the earlier clutched planetary to chain reduction.

Note that the earliest motors of this kind used a notched plate that meshed with left side spokes to drive the wheel, but later versions were equipped on bikes that had left hand freewheel threading on the left side. If you can get the motor but not a compatible wheel with it, it might become a can of worms.

I think he did.:)

We have to know what you have in order to answer your question.

It's probably not the motor you have to worry about, It's if the controller can handle it that I'd worry about. Brushed motor ok, brushless, who knows.
ok i ear that your are more worried about the controller than the motor. Can can i find the info that you need to help me? i dont know where is the controller of even if there is one . is it possible that there is just a trottle but no controller?
i added picture to help me where and what to look. here are the places that a controler coulb be present apart from the picture of the motor it self.

could it be in the trottle? could it be the white piece at bottom left ?
