What degree do you install the hall sensors

Don't know the degree, but here is a couple of jpg's that might help if you can figure out the degree. Hope it helps out.

Halls at 60 or 120 electrical degrees doesn't require actually placing them physically 60 or 120 degrees apart, and few motors do that. Most that I've seen inside of place them very close together, spacing depending on the number and width of the magnets, rather than stator teeth.
