How do you guys transport your E-Bike? Do you use a bike-rack on your car? If so, what one do you use and why? Searching around Google, there are just a lot of different options out there, but they don't helpful reviews.

In at least 20 years I transported my ebike once.
On minivan.
I ride my ebike to destination.
Don't use fossil fuel to get there to start riding
I start riding from home.
I guess regular double biker rack would handle one even heavy ebike

Well, I don't own a ICE vehicle any more. Sold my car and motor home when I switched to an e-bike. However, if I were to get a bike rack to attache to a car or suv, I would primary look for one that could carry a heavy bicycle because e-bikes are heavy.

What is your e-bike's weight?

:D :bolt:

Hollywood Sport Rider SE for E-bikes. Expensive, but works great, up to 80lbs per bike.

There's a few threads in here:

with some discussion about this topic. You can mostly tell by thread title which ones it is.

The steel two bike swagman rack, is the cheaper option for carrying ebikes by the wheels. Mine has stood up to a lot of carrying, on rough roads to the single track trails in the national monument in my area. The wheel loops bend for sure on the bad road, but its never actually broken.

Once I got the big van, I carry all bikes inside now.

I'm hoping one of these will be available in the US:

If Grandma and Grandpa can do it, it must be easy!

It's not dignified to carry a bike in a car. It adds insult to injury.

My bikes tend to make their objections known by biting and gnawing the motor vehicle that tries to transport them.

Performance Bicycle brand rack that is similar to the Swagman and the Hollywood.

The tires sit in cradles, the center rod folds toward the rear to load the bike closest to the car. Rearward folding is very important, it allows both bikes to tilt rearward, tilt is stopped by the cable that locks them to the hitch, so that the rear hatch of the CRV can be opened. Both top hold down hooks are loosened a bit before rearward tilting.

This rack has carried the bikes from San Antonio to San Diego and back a couple times, it works great.

The CRV, Camry and 4-Runner all use the same rack.

Talked to Poison Spider Bike Shop in Moab, they won't rent ebikes if they will be carried on rack by the top tube. Carried on wheel cradles is ok.
