What is the best motor controller for 30 MPH bike?

Hello Everyone,

I am currently building an electric moped (max speed 30 MPH) and am unsure what the best motor controller to use is. I want to be compliant with all the DOT approvals and have been looking at Sevcon mostly. A friend of mine just told me about Votol (http://votol.net/en-us/controller.html) and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them? Are they reliable and have they been extensively tested?

With infineon 12fet I've gotten along well, in the future I think about nucular 6f.

What do you mean by marketing? I am curious and want to make sure I choose the right motor controller before I purchase it...As of now I am going for Sevcon but am still looking at what else is out there.

I have a Grinfineon 40 amp controller can do 30 mph put only needed a 25-30 amp for that. I wanted more phase amps.

How are you going to get Sevcon programming / tuning done, do you have a trained properly equipped expert local to you?
