Hi All,

Im finding it (as I guess everyone else here experienced!) it so hard to find a reliable charger for my new battery . I haven't received my battery yet but I've been trying to prepare for it's arrival and have the best charger ready to go.
I didn't buy a charger from the dealler I got the battery from as the ones they were supplying looked cheap and nasty.

I've been reading on old posts regarding stories of chargers failing or arriving from China looking like repaired 2nd hand units passed off as new etc...I was just looking to see if there are any current (no pun intended) recommendations out there for decent reliable chargers that fall below the $150.00 mark. As the battery costs a bundle I don't want to chance a dodgey charger destroying it or stuffing up the BMS etc...I live in Australia so looking for a review of AC input 230/240V unit.

Any help will be gratefully received as I'm feeling like a dog chasing it's tail, looking online at all that's on offer I can't work out who to trust/believe with descriptions relating to countries with various voltage standards.

Thanks
Hiconic

I don't see much risk in a dodgy charger stuffing your bms. Mostly charger failures are just that they stop working. One component or another just goes.

I had a few go poof, killed a few myself stupidly, had a few die from carrying them around. The two that have been no problem from day one were the king pan type metal case 5 amp chargers I got from pingbattery. Been using them for years now.

But some other incredibly cheap and cheesy ones at lower wattage have been used almost as long with no probllems. Once I got one I didn't stupidly kill.
