Howdy :) My MAC motor just got here, from cell_man. To help with packaging and shipping, he shipped the wheel and hub in a thin box and the motor/axle itself in the battery box.

I'm putting it back together and the instructions are simple enough. My only concern is that he also included a little bag with white grease, but no mention of grease in the instructions hehe.. Should I consider this a generic freebie to use wherever I need, or is there anything I should be smothering in grease inside the hub?

The ring gear on the hub has a light cover of grease, the gears on the motor itself feel ever so slightly greasy. If I had to guess, this is where I'd put the grease, but I'd appreciate your thoughts!

Thanks :)

You probably have enough grease in there (ring gear and planets). As you ride, the grease will coat all the surfaces. If you add more, it will get slung around a bit, but should cause no trouble.

Thanks for the reply. Yup I got a reply from Paul this morning that they kinda include the grease as an extra, but it should have enough grease as is :)

By the way, I'll take the chance to recommend cell_man. So far he's been extremely helpful, very happy with how he got this stuff out to me pretty quickly and the packaging was fantastic.
