Want to use this 36v throttle on 48v system. Anyone know which wire should be cut -was going to look inside to see which wire fed the led but its sealed. Any way of adding a resistor in line to make it 48v compatable?

If i was guessing i would pick the Purple one.. but this is ONLY A GUESS i do not know for sure.. as the one's i have seen are usually Green Yellow WHite or Red...

You should be able to open the throttle assembly by gengly bending the 4 legs inside the opening for the handlebar.. then the rotating section slides out.. If you opt for this be gentle.. the legs do break rather easily.

You shouldn't have to do anything to use the throttle. It should work fine as is.

The controller feeds the throttle 5v power regardless of the system voltage.

Did you try it?

Haven't tried it yet(waiting for battery pack), I thought I read somwhere on the forum that it may short out or cause a WOT on an off chance.

It's the LED wire that's the issue.

While fooling around trying to figure out what I should do to run multiple motors from one throttle, I unplugged the throttle, grounded my voltmeter, and tested each wire from the controler. Funny things seemed to happen, such as the motor starting, but one of the wires (the LED one) showed 36+ volts and nothing was damaged. I just looked ot the picture again and I think YPedal is correct on purple, plus I remember it was one of the outside wires.
