Who knows my Crystalyte controller??

I came into possession of a 24V brushed Heinzmann motor... that is why I have a 24V brushed crystalyte controller from Crystalyte Belgium in my bike now. Because that seemed to be the only surviving 24V brushed controller with PAS logic available today :? My bike turned out fine with the motor and controller, which has PAS priority over throttle, which is welcome :D However, the controller has a rather annoying "feature", that is, it has an auto cut-off after five minutes of not pedalling. It will then only come on again after separating the controller from the battery and plugging in again... which is rather not practical...
The controller has one 3-pin male connector that I have not been able to identify. This connector seems to have battery + voltage on one pin, and 0V on the other. If I short the 3rd pin with the + pin, the controller will wake up. But it will also take off full throttle, without pedalling  So connecting this to a switch would make the pedelec illegal
Does anyone know this controller (25V 20A brushed) and can enlighten me ??

the 3 pin male connector is for the e-brake. these are normally open switches or hall sensors installed on the brake levers. when the lever is pulled the switch is activated and disables the motor.

the way it is wired is one pin on the end reads between +5 to +12V on most controllers. this supplies power to hall sensor based switches and is not used on mechanical or reed switch based systems. the middle one is 0V or gnd. the other end is the sensor wire and when this is shorted to the middle pin or GND the motor turns off.

Thanks. I was guessing that it was for brake, but didn't think that a brake would need that VBatt.

However, my main question is how to deal with the auto cut-off. At the moment I have to get off the bike, open up the topcase and unplug/plug the battery connector...
How is that implemented in the bike where this controller comes from? I would not much like to entertain a 20A switch on the handle bar :?

thats a weird feature are you sure its not over heating or broken? i hate PAS. its down right dangerous not giving the rider control.

sorry, i've never seen that specific model controller in person. i can't answer that question.

have you tried asking the dealer you bought it from. he may have specific knowledge or experience he could share with you.

I found out that there is a 3-speed switch available from crystalyte, that is 3-pin female. Can it be that my modest brushed controller already is wired for the 3-speed adjustment??
Who has the Crystalyte 3-speed switch (LMH) and knows how it is wired? I'm a little worried that I may bridge the wrong pins permanently :?
The guy fom Crystalyte europe is very much committed to help, alas - I guess he's only guessing

i don't know much either but AFAIK the power switch is so far only for the brushless motor controller.
