The principal at a school I'm working at just gave me 25 new wii remotes and bluetooth connectors for them:

can i rig these to work with a board?
anyone want these...i have over 19 too many.

The USB-Bluetooth-stick would not work, cause its made for PCs. It has less electronic than nrf-modules, which is compensable by drivers and processing power on PCs.
So you would need at least a Raspberry or something else to use it, therefore it's unusable for a e-board.

Normally you use the nunchuk, not the wii-controler itself as remote.

I was thinking I could plug the blue tooth thing into the vesc or a wii receiver. No? The toggle that normally comes with the nunchuck is much bigger

In theory it can be done, but it will involve some work.

First you would have to integrate bluetooth into the VESC. Then you would have to get the VESC to automatically pair with the controller on startup, you would possibly want the controller to vibrate/flash when its connected. Then you would have to map the input from the controller to some code to actually control the VESC. This is all in theory though, there is a lot more to it... IE processing power of the VESC, if the bluetooth controller can be paired easily, etc etc.

Heck with the amount of work it might take, i bet you could exchange them for cash and just buy a nunchuck and wiiciever thats already been tested with the VESC. Up to you, just keep opportunity cost in mind.
