Ok so I'm completely new to all of this and I just got this Wing Freedom 2 ebike, I had it two days before the buttons on the display broke and i couldn't start it anymore. Customer service is supposedly going to send another one but hasn't yet and I don't even want to get started on what I think about them right now. I'll deal with them later. I ordered a SW-900 panel from Amazon had it next day delivered and it will indeed power up my bike but I get an error code 10 (communications error.) and when it powers on. Therefore I go slower get no PAS, battery info, and none of that. Does anybody know how I would go about trying to resolve this?

If the new display is not identical to the old one, it is probably incompatible.
Even with the same "model number" it is possible to have different firmware that has different data format or parameter sets, communications protocol, etc., such that it does not work fully or at all (other than power-switching). So this is most likely the problem you are having.
If the new display *is* identical to the old one, and/or it is a compatible display with compatibile firmware, then it could just be a connection problem between display and controller, such as a pin not seated in the connector, or actually bent over so it's flattened and not in the mating contact on the other side at all. Or a broken wire between display and controller, anywhere within the cables or between cable and PCB.
