Someday I will be getting some lithium batteries but for now all I have are four 12v 22ah batteries that I am going to use.

I am connecting my 12 volt batteries in series to produce 48 volts.

What is the best size of wire to connect my batteries to each other. I also will be putting fuse's between each battery so I can pull them and charge each battery separate since I have only a 12v charger at the time.

Can I use 10 gage wire between each battery? I believe my controller battery input wire is 10 gage, do I have to have bigger wire between the batteries?

Max voltage to my controller is 26 amp so should I put a 30 amp fuse in my fuse holders?

Thank you if you can help.

10 gauge fine for a 30a max circuit.
